Successful Growth Plans

We are proud to announce our successful acquisition of Vantage Communications Ltd.

Recently we were listed at number nine in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 league table this year. This is further proof of our ambitious growth plans are coming into fruition.

We have more than doubled our turnover in the last two years and have plans to further assert our strength within the market by growing both organically and through acquisitions.

Acquiring Vantage Communications’ client base of over 200 customers and dealers, has add a further £1.2million to our revenue.

Managing Director, Darren Scott-Healey, said: “Previously Vantage’s customers had a limited product range with only fixed lines and some broadband packages on offer. Now they are with Peach they can take advantage of our wealth of products, including mobiles, data solutions, telephone system installation and maintenance. In addition they now have a bigger support network behind them, in the form of our army of engineers and customer service advisors.”

Max Webb, Vantage Communications’ Managing Director, said: “The acquisition process went very smoothly and our customers were integrated well. They are very happy with the move and are already taking advantage of Peach Telecom’s other product and service lines.”

The deal with Vantage Communications marks Peach Telecom’s third acquisition, with the business having also acquired Harmony Solutions and Pro-Voice in recent years.

Darren Scott-Healey concluded: “2011 has been an incredibly successful year for Peach and we are capitalising on this with our ambitious growth plans for the next three years. We are lean, flexible and in a strong position within the market to make further acquisitions in coming months.”

NEC Excellent Performance

After winning an award for being the fastest growing business partner at last year’s NEC EMEA Partner Conference, Peach have thrived once again. At this year’s event held in Valencia, the company claimed an award for all-round excellent performance. “Since becoming an NEC partner just over two years ago, Peach Telecom have gone from strength to strength” said NEC Sales Director Andrew Cooper after Peach were presented with the award. “Their refreshing approach to business and consistently high achievements makes for a winning combination” he claimed.

At the conference, which brought together NEC’s major distributors and key business partners from over 40 countries across EMEA, Lex de Gier, Vice President Marketing & Sales at NEC Unified Solutions, congratulated his business partners with their achievements in the various fields. “Peach Telecom has been the fastest grower over the past year. They continue to build further and are now one of our top partners in the UK. That is the reason why we have awarded them with the NEC Excellent Performance Reseller 2010-2011 award”, de Gier commented.

Sunday Times league table

We’re over the moon to been named as one of the top private technology firms in the UK.

We’ve been listed at number nine in The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 league table, which ranks Britain's 100 private technology companies with the fastest-growing sales over the latest three years.

As well as featuring in the top 10 and being the highest ranked in the south east, the table also ranks us ahead of companies such as Gocompare.com, online car trader, We Buy Any Car, and popular music recognition service provider, Shazam.

Turnover has sky-rocketed from £532,792 in 2007 to £7.1m in 2010. Similarly our workforce has more than tripled with 65 members of staff. We’ve expanded through organic growth and the acquisition of other businesses, including Harmony Solutions and Pro-Voice.

We now supply fixed lines and calls, broadband, telephone systems, maintenance on all makes of telephone systems, data solutions, hosted telephony, SIP trunking and a 118 directory service.

With our two offices we have more than 5,000 SME customers over a wealth of industries.

Being listed in the The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 comes at the tail end of what has been one of our most successful years to date. It started when we were named the fastest growing NEC reseller in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, beating off stiff competition from hundreds of other longer-established companies to take the prestigious title.

Since then we’ve been shortlisted for a staggering eight awards in as many months and signed a major deal with phone giant, O2, to become one of its selected ‘Joined Up Communications Wholesale Partner Channel programme’ partners. In addition, we were named Hampshire Chamber of Commerce’s number one supplier for communications.

National Recognition

2011 has been a great year here at Peach - and the good news keeps on coming.

Having been shortlisted for a number of awards and named Overall Reseller of the Year at the Comms Business Awards, we’ve this week received national recognition after being shortlisted for the prestigious Comms National Awards 2011.

Managing Director, Darren Scott-Healey, says the latest shortlisting is yet another example of the mark we’re making within the industry.

He said: “2011 really has been our year. We have always known we’ve done a great job for our 5,000 SME clients but this year we have truly seen that message thrust into the national spotlight. To be judged against our peers and shortlisted for such a prestigious award really is a fantastic achievement and if we’ve been nominated for eight awards in 2011 I can’t wait to see what 2012 will bring.”

We will attend the national ceremony with other finalists in London on October 13 and we hope you’ll join us in keeping everything crossed for another award win.

Last week we were also announced as a finalist for the CRN Channel Awards 2011, which recognise the best in IT. A record number of entries were made for the awards this year and Peach is shortlisted alongside the likes of Microsoft and IBM. The overall winners will be announced in November at a ceremony attended by more than 1,600 key industry figures.

Crowned best in the UK

IT’S official. Peach is the best of the bunch.

That’s right - we’ve been named Overall Reseller of the Year at the Oscars of the telecoms industry, the Comms Business Awards.

It’s a huge accolade and one we’re incredibly proud of here at Peach.

Not only did we win the Comms Business 2011 Reseller of the Year Award in our category but we also beat off stiff competition to win the highest accolade of them all - the Comms Business 2011 Overall Reseller of the Year award.

Sales Director, Martin Cook, who picked up the gongs at the glitzy awards ceremony in the Lancaster Hotel in London last night, said: “It’s hard to put into words just how much this means to us.

“We were absolutely ecstatic when our name was read out as the winner of the first award. The room was full of around 550 people from every single mobile network, telecoms supplier and reseller in the country so to be publicly recognised for our work in front of all our peers like that really was something else.

“To then win the overall reseller award was just the icing on the cake. Although we know just how good we are at what we do, it was a massive surprise when our name was read out and a very welcome one at that. We’re going to have to reinforce our trophy shelf!

“There were over 100 companies that entered the awards, including many who enter every year. To scoop two awards in our first ever year of entering is fantastic. It is testament to the calibre and quality of our work.”

Peach’s Managing Director, Darren Scott-Healey, added: “These two awards belong to everyone at Peach as they’ve all played a part in helping us to rise to the top of the tree. These accolades give us huge credibility and recognition within the industry and mean that our customers know they are in the hands of the very best.”

We’ll be donning our tuxedos and ball gowns again in just a month’s time as we head off to the South Coast Business Awards. We’ve been shortlisted in two categories so hope to add to our silverware collection very soon.

Another award nomination

The good news just keeps on rolling in here at Peach - we’ve been shortlisted for yet another industry award.

Having only just been shortlisted for gongs at the Comms Business Awards and the South Coast Business Awards we’ve been penned for yet another, this time at the FCS Industry Awards.

The FCS (Federation of Communication Services) Awards recognise the best businesses operating in the business radio, mobile equipment installation, fixed service provision and environmental sectors of the communication services industry.

We’ve been shortlisted in the Reseller of the Year category and couldn’t be happier. Scores of companies across the UK entered the competition and we’ve been whittled down to the final five in our category.

Managing Director, Darren Scott-Healey, said: “There’s no doubt that 2011 really is our year and we’re over the moon that we’ve been shortlisted for yet another award. We’ve always known that we do a great job for our customers, helping them to improve their business communications and save money, but to be recognised for it in the eyes of our peers is a fantastic feeling.”

Our entry for the FCS Awards gave us a chance to showcase the breath of our services and knowledge of the latest telecoms equipment on the market. It detailed how we used our coveted partnership with mobile phone company, O2, and strength as NEC’s Fastest Growing Reseller in EMEA to save one of our customers hundreds of pounds on its monthly bill and improve its efficiency.

Peach scores at St Mary’s

MANCHESTER United may not have been able to deliver the goods at the recent Champions League Final but we’ve scored big this month - winning the first ever Hampshire Chamber 5 a Side Football Tournament.

We’re over the moon to have won and, having recently been shortlisted for three awards, it seems the good news just keep on coming!

Seven members of staff got to fulfill a childhood dream as they took part in the tournament at St Mary’s Stadium, home of the Saints, on Friday (May 27).

Darren Scott-Healey, Martin Cook, John Cousins, David Philpott, Gary Gotts, Liam Gibson and Will Cranmer donned their studs for the event, which was sponsored by Peach and organised by Hampshire Chamber.

After the excitement of running onto the pitch through the players’ tunnel, Team Peach got themselves into the zone and racked up some impressive wins against fellow Chamber members, including a 5-0 victory against Langdowns.

Having racked up a favourable number of points in the qualifiers, Peach made it into the final against strong side, Liberty Leasing, and, after a tense 20-minute game, pipped them to the goal post and won by a whopping 5-1.

Operations Director, John Cousins, said: “As avid Saints fans, playing on the pitch at St Mary’s was a dream for us. Winning really topped it off and provided yet another boost for everyone in the office. What with this and our award nominations we’re going to need a new trophy cabinet soon!”

At Peach we’re passionate about bringing local businesses together to communicate, which is why we sponsored the inaugural Hampshire Chamber 5 a Side Football Tournament. The event gave everyone involved a chance to network and talk face-to-face with other businesses in the area.

We’re also working in other ways to help Hampshire Chamber members communicate with one another. Just last month we launched a partnership with the Chamber which will allow members to benefit from huge savings on their telecoms and broadband bills. Chamber Communications, as the partnership is known, even allows businesses to make free landline calls to fellow Chamber members.

Award Finalist

There’s cause for celebration in the Peach office this week as we’ve been shortlisted for a whopping three awards!

We discovered at the start of the week that we’d been shortlisted for the 2011 Comms Business awards and just a couple of days later we heard we’ve been named finalists in the South Coast Business Awards.

It’s great news for us all here at Peach and for our customers, who have further confirmation that they are in the hands of the very best.

We have been shortlisted in the Reseller of the Year category for the Comms Business Awards, which are like the Oscars of the telecoms industry. It’s a huge achievement for us and testament to the great work we’ve been doing for all our customers.

We were put forward for two categories in the South Coast Business Awards and have been shortlisted for both. These are ‘Growth Business of the Year’ and ‘Best Use of Technology’. As part of our being named a finalist we’ll be appearing in the Southern Daily Echo over the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out for us.

Chamber Communications

We have won a highly-competitive pitch to become Hampshire Chamber of Commerce’s number one supplier for communications.

We are now the official partner of the Chamber and will work with the business organisation to provide telecommunications packages for all members as of April 1.

The win comes after a toughly-fought pitch process, in which several companies battled it out to prove they could provide the best service.

Using the buying power of the membership network, Peach Telecom will be able to give Chamber members heavily reduced prices for telephone system installation and support, broadband and landline and mobile phone bills. We will essentially regard all Chamber members as one company and allow even the smallest of companies within the Chamber to benefit from rates that would normally only be available to businesses with significant numbers of telecom users.

The service will be provided in association with Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, under the name ‘Chamber Communications’.

Peach Telecom’s Managing Director, Darren Scott-Healey, said: “Winning this very competitive tender is a massive accolade for Peach Telecom and testament to the fact that we don’t just install and supply phone lines - we listen to problems and create tailor-made solutions.

Peach & O2 Join Forces

Peach Telecom provides landline and broadband services and solutions for businesses, we have now signed an agreement with O2 to become one of its fixed line partners and will now be able to add mobile phone contracts to our growing offering.

We are one of only a select handful of companies chosen by O2 to take part in its ‘Joined Up Communications Wholesale Partner Channel programme’. The project sees O2 team up with “the best fixed line partners” to trade exclusively with O2 at wholesale level.

It means that Peach will now be able to provide O2’s mobile phone services under its own name and bill customers direct - something that we have never been able to offer previously.

Managing Director, Darren Scott-Healey, has hailed the move as the ‘final piece in the puzzle’ as now the firm will be able to provide customers with mobile, landline and broadband services, all in one simple bill.

He added: “We’re delighted to have secured this relationship with O2, which essentially means we can give businesses everything they need to communicate, all in one bundle. The relationship with O2 is a fantastic opportunity which will complement and enhance our existing offering to our 5,000-strong SME customers.

“My team will be working closely with O2 to ensure that our business customers are able to access all the benefits that the network can bring. We have some major long-term plans as we look to expand our business and strengthen our customer relationships. Our growth has been down to our commitment to listening to customer’s requirements and tailoring our solutions to their needs.“
